About the Artist
My name is Christina, and I was born and raised in Southern California. I graduated from California State University Long Beach with a BA in Studio Art in 2020 and attended Cerritos College where I studied in Studio art and Natural Science, and graduated in 2018. My awards include Third place in Cerritos College Art Show in the drawing and painting category. My current favorite mediums include ceramic, clay, oil paint, acrylic paint, pen and ink, charcoal, graphite, and digital using Photoshop, Procreate, and Affinity. I currently reside in Long Beach with her partner Stephan and cat, Rambo.
My goal as an artist is to represent the things that stem from childhood imagination, hybridized with the state of adulthood and the many obstacles and dark places we as adults learn and go through in developing ourselves throughout life. I like to explore humourous image making coupled with ominous subject. I believe we are all capable of creating our own worlds in which we have sustained and nurtured our innocence and imagination, and should refuse forgetting it!
